Laxmi Kaur

Laxmi Kaur, a passionate Dilruba player, has been immersed in the world of music from her early years. Raised in a musical household, she embraced instruments like the harmonium and tabla at just two and a half years old, effortlessly exploring raags with her small hands and a playful, stammering voice. Laxmi's musical journey has led her to master the Dilruba, Tar-shehnai, Indian classical music, and Gurbani singing.
She had her initial training from her father, Ustad Baljit Singh. Later, she honed her Dilruba skills under the guidance of the renowned maestro Padma Bhushan Dr. N Rajam.

Her love for vocal music also led her to Indian Classical Vocal training with Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar ji. She started her career by accompanying her father and has performed worldwide, including in the UK, USA, and Dubai, and has received accolades for her instrumental prowess.
She got listed in Top Four Instrumentalists in Ekam Satt Competition judged by Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain.She has been also training Students in Guru Sangeet Academy ,New Delhi since 2015.

Laxmi's music is not just a performance but a means to connect with the deeper self, promoting dedication, peace, and love along the path of life's purpose.
