D. Venkatasubramaniam

D.V. Venkatasubramaniam, holds a distinguished career in the world of rhythm and percussion.. With 15 years of devoted training under Padmashri Shri. Viku T.H. Vinayakaram, he achieved an "Excellent Grade" and earned recognition as an "A Grade Artist" by All India Radio. His accolades include the "Gadamamani" from Nemili Isai Mandram and the "Nadhachudar" honor from the Lions Club. He also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from D.B. Jain College in Chennai and a Master of Arts in Rythmology from Madras University His professional journey encompasses a notable performance at the age of 18, accompanying Padmashri T.H. Vinayakaram and sharing stages with renowned artists like Smt. Nithyasree Mahadevan, Mandolin Raju & Nagamani, and A.R. Rahman. He has graced prominent venues in India, including Narada Gana Sabha and Mylapore Fine Arts, with his music broadcasted on "All India Radio," "Doordarshan," and several satellite channels.

D.V. Venkatasubramaniam's international presence is marked by his representation of Guru Padmashri Sri. Vikku Vinayakram's Sapthakshara Troop in Indonesia and Malaysia. His performances have been a highlight at events like the Allarekha Festival and ICCR Programs, leaving a global mark in the world of rhythm. Currently, he teaches Mirudangam, Ghatam, Kanjira, and Murharsing to students.
