The 22 Shruti tuning system takes pitch and tonal perfection of notes to a new level in all music forms globally, irrespective of region or genre. This system is aimed at pointing out this vital distinction in the tonal quality of each note, with distinctive tuning of the notes for various combinations of notes (well exemplified in the Indian raga system where unique combination of notes played in a particular sequence are called a Raga). This system has almost been lost to mankind, despite its origins being traced back to over 2000 years ago and was unearthed by Dr Vidyadhar Oke, a Mumbai based medical doctor and musician par excellence.
